When you are playing Counter-Strike: Source you might need to forward some ports in your router. Forwarding ports is a useful trick in gaming because it can really help to make your network connection most stable and intermittently even faster. Routers were not designed to allow incoming network requests and some games can play tremendously better if an incoming connection is forwarded through the router to the game.

However, I still cannot have other people join the server which most likely comes from ports needing to be forwarded. Online I have found that the ports that need to be opened are as follows. Are they correct? My questions are, am I properly forwarding these ports and if not how do I properly forward these ports? Finally, do I have the correct server IP address entered? Here I will describe the process I used to attempt to open the correct ports.
